Fans of Spanish cuisine will not want to miss the Spanish Extravaganza Festival, which kicks off today at Capella Hotel Singapore. Set to go on till 17th November 2019, the four-day event will feature gastronomic lunches and dinners prepared by paella masters and Michelin-star chefs including chef Emilio Miralles whose restaurant in Valencia has been recommended by Wikipaella as one of the best places to have authentic paella. For a truly gastronomic experience, be sure to book for the Gastronomy & Wine Affair, held on 16 November at the hotel’s Chef’s Table, offering a six-course dinner prepared by highly acclaimed Michelin star chefs including Miguel Barrachina and Ignacio Solana Perez, who will be presenting scrumptious treats like Spanish pork fillet served with Spanish pork broth and potatoes; and mackerel marinated with citrus fruits, almond cream and mackerel fish bone juice. Other notable highlights include the smoked lamb with Andalusian aubergine and pimenton de la vera by chef Maria Varela from Lugo, and the roasted vegetable soup with bomba rice and Spanish saffron oil by tapas master Alvaro Villasante. The dining experience will be further elevated by premium wines chosen by award-winning sommelier Jon Andoni Rementeria.
The festival also includes a trade fair on 15th November, organised by the Spanish Embassy’s Commercial and Economic Office in Singapore, where invited professionals will get to sample a wide range of foods, wines and spirits—many of which are new to Singapore—from 30 leading Spanish food and wine companies throughout the day.
The event will draw to a close on the 17th with a decadent brunch held at The Knolls with live food stations manned by the aforementioned chefs. With lots of good food, wines, beers, coupled with live music, the Spanish Brunch Fiesta is without a doubt, a fantastic way to wrap up the event.
