The occasion: On 31 August, luxury membership services club Sky Premium held its inaugural launch at Marina Square’s Japanese food enclave Takujo Japanese Dining @ Emporium Shokuhin.
The event showcased the many personalised lifestyle experiences exclusive to Sky Premium members, from Antarctic cruises to premium sake tastings. Guests were also treated to a live hon maguro presentation (bluefin tuna cutting ceremony) by head chef William Teo. Sky Premium memberships will be ready for purchase late this year.
The bites: A selection of maguro akami, chutoro and otoro in sashimi; nigari sushi and maki rolls were served, as well as six-hour-braised hon maguro bluefin tuna head with burdock and vegetables with Niigata rice; and Osaka-style Japanese vegetables and beancurd miso soup.
