1. A Brand New Dolce Vita at Mandarin Oriental Singapore

Along with a refurbished interior, Dolce Vita, Mandarin Oriental’s poolside Italian restaurant launches a revamped menu. Don’t miss their spring season special, a risotto made with top-quality special riserva acquerello (aged carnaroli) rice and seasonal white asparagus ($30), spritzed with yuzu for a touch of acidity. Another dish to look forward to is tagliata di manzo ($98), a sharing portion of roasted U.S. Prime beef bone-in ribeye for two to three. Look out for a killer smooth and creamy mash potato among the sides.

2. Seorae Korean Restaurant for Good Value

Korean charcoal barbecue restaurant Seorae spruces up its menu with new dishes and set meals. Try the Kkochi platter (from $14.90) for a variety of charcoal-grilled skewers wrapped in samgyeobsal (premium pork belly) or woosamgyeob (U.S. prime beef shortplate), or go for Epic Lunch Menu set, where you can get mains like budae jjigae and dolsot bibimbap, a free drink and sides from $10.90.

3. Michelin Pop-Up at Curate Restaurant

Curate restaurant at Resorts World Sentosa revs up season two of its Michelin chef series. From 5 to 13 May, sample French fare with Dutch flair by Richard van Oostenbrugge, executive chef of two-Michelin starrred Bord-Eau Restaurant Gastronomique in Hotel De L’Europe in Amsterdam.

One highlight is his dessert called Apple, a reconstruction of an apple made up of a Granny Smith apple tart base, an apple sorbet core and a transparent blown-sugar flesh and skin.

4. Clean Eating at Artemis

Head to Salted & Hung and Pollen on 8 and 30 May respectively as part of The Flying Sommeliers’ 2017 pop-up dinner series to do your part for charity. Enjoy a sumptuous five-course dinner at these two top restaurants with wines expertly paired by four of Singapore’s most established sommeliers at $168++ her head. Ten per cent of the proceeds from the dinners will go to the Society of the Physically Disabled. The series is slated to run until July, so check their Facebook page for more.
