CUGINI is an authentic Italian restaurant owned and passionately operated by two cousins hailing from the south of Italy. The ambience is cosy with blue and white colors reminiscent of the Mediterranean seaside. Chef Mauro helms the kitchen with a menu of classic Italian dishes and chef specials. The steak tartar is a popular starter, served with mesclun salad and cold-cook egg. Fegato Grasso is also excellent, comprising tantalising goose liver with Bronte pistachio and Passito wine
reduction help to bring out its flavour. The pasta selection here is wide and includes an array of handmade ravioli – go for the penne Pomodoro (penne pasta in tomato sauce) and handmade fetuccina al nero (squid ink pasta). The thin-crust pizzas are the true stars on the menu, with a good mix of meat and vegetarian options. Ham toppings are a favourite, as the ham is cured in CUGINI’s kitchen. As for desserts, don’t miss out on the tiramisu and panna cotta, both of which are made in-house. The latter has a white chocolate base and is accompanied with raspberry sauce and fresh blackcurrants.
