“To be awarded three stars in the 2019 Michelin Guide is beyond incredible. We opened in 2015 and for us to achieve three Michelin stars when we’re barely four years old – we’re truly humbled. This accolade is of course a celebration of the people behind Odette and deeply appreciated as affirmation of our hard work. Thank you to all our wonderful guests who have supported us on our journey and to my fantastic team for working tirelessly to give our best every single day. We’re determined to continue devoting ourselves to growing and innovating, cooking with our hearts, and pushing to be better.” – Chef Julien Royer #michelin #odetterestaurant @lobeholdgroup #lesgrandestablesdumonde #yesmichelinguide @michelinguide

The sole three-Michelin-starred restaurant spot had erstwhile been occupied by Joël Robuchon restaurant before it shuttered in June last year. In the new Michelin Guide Singapore 2019, not one but two fine-dining restaurants—Odette and Les Amis—have been bestowed the honour. Modern French restuarant Odette and classic French restaurant Les Amis both moved up from their two Michelin stars placing last year.

The five two Michelin stars spots went to chef Emmanuel Stroobant’s Saint Pierre (up from its one star placing last year), Restaurant Zén, sister restaurant to Sweden’s three-Michelin-starred Frantzén (new entrant), and three other restaurants who held on to their spots—Waku Ghin, Shoukouwa and Shisen Hanten. The crop of 37 one-Michelin-starred restaurants minted this year include new entrants such as Basque Kitchen by Aitor, Restaurant JAG, table65, Vianney Massot Restaurant (the former Bacchanalia) and terra Tokyo Italian, who regained its star this year.
