There’s the first 11 on a football team; George Clooney’s band of brothers/bandits in Ocean’s 11; and then there’s Escape Restaurant & Lounge, One Farrer Hotel’s She11 We Seafood Feast, featuring 11 types of luscious crustaceans, oysters and more.
Available for dinner daily from 26 July to 1 September ($88 for adults and $44 for children aged between seven to 12), She11 We Seafood Feast is a highlight of the 24-hour all-day dining restaurant’s buffet-centric offerings. Have your fill of seafood on ice, ranging from spindly snow crab legs, to luscious mud crabs, spanner crabs and flower crabs, half-shell sea scallops, sweet sea prawns, Australian yabbies and seasonal Japanese oysters.
Complement your seafood feast with appetisers such as the grilled octopus with pickled cucumber and wafu dressing; tuna Niçoise salad; and the Thai-style vermicelli salad with grilled seafood. Or zoom in on the Japanese Sushi and Fresh Cut Sashimi station, for a variety of sashimi, temaki sushi and maki rolls. Moving on to the mains, tuck into local delights, such as the One Farrer laksa with prawns; black pepper crayfish with seafood; lemongrass Venus clams with Thai spices; and seafood fried rice with conpoy. But leave room for the baked salted egg lobster thermidor (1/2 portion), a chef’s special that’s an even greater highlight during the National Day season.
For a little respite from seafood, go for the toasted grain fed ribeye with mixed herbs and mustard from the European selection, or perhaps the chicken Marsala from the Indian Nation Copper Pot station. For dessert, be sure to try the durian pengat, chempedak custard cake, and red velvet gula melaka cake, or go for a selection of cheeses with crackers, dried fruit and nuts.
