Goodwood Park Hotel’s long-running durian dessert festival returns from now until 14 July, promising signature favourites and six new desserts to tempt the durian lover.

Goodwood Park Hotel’s pastry chefs never tire of using the King of Fruit as their muse. This year’s Durian Fiesta sees them coming up with six new desserts. For starters, there’s the D24 royale cheesecake ($28 per 350g cake), where soft and creamy D24 durian mousse and luscious cream cheese make a good pair. Then there’s the D24 pandan lapis coconut cake (from $16 per slice), a pillowy combination of D24 mousse, pandan sponge layers, cream frosting and coconut flakes.

Just a little more subtle as we go, the D24 strawberry bliss cake (from $16 per piece) marries the fruity aromas of D24 durian pulp and fresh strawberries; the D24 matcha mont blanc tart (from $14.80 for two; dine-in) comes filled with matcha & chestnut mousse and D24 durian pulp, and topped with white chocolate tuile and matcha sponge; while the mini D24 ice cream bars ($22 for a box of four; one flavour each) comes in assorted flavours such as D24 durian ice cream with dark chocolate.

And just for this year, to commemorate the bicentennial of Sir Stamford Raffles’ arrival in Singapore, 200 D24 Singapore commemoration cakes ($88 for 1kg; advanced booking of five days) will be available, featuring gula Melaka, coffee, pandan and durian mousse flavours.

Long-time fans of the fiesta will not be disappointed with the lineup of popular signatures such as the D24 mousse cake (from $14 per slice), D24 puff (from $10++ for 2 pieces; dine-in), D24 crepe (from $14 per piece), D24 ice cream ($20 per 16oz tub), and Mao Shan Wang ice cream ($29 per 16oz tub).

And if only Mao Shan Wang durian will do, mark your diaries for Mao Shan Wang Madness from 4 May to 14 July, where you can get their hands on Mao Shan Wang power puff ($22.80 per piece), a jumbo-sized profiterole; and Mao Shan Wang mousse cake ($72 for 500g), a luxurious adaption of the hotel’s signature D24 mousse cake.
