On 20 April this year, The St. Regis Singapore crossed the all-important 10-year milestone.
Along with invited guests, it celebrated in true St Regis style with a lavish afternoon tea inspired by the famous afternoon tea rituals of Caroline Astor, the doyenne of New York society in the early 1900s and mother of John Jacob Astor IV, who founded the hotel.
Teetotallers, meanwhile, got to savour the TWG Tea St. Regis blend which was specially created for the hotel. One lucky guest went home with the Afternoon Tea Ritual Pendant, an 18K rose gold teapot-shaped pendant created by jewellery designer Wan Bao Bao.
It has been 10 years to the day since the hotel first opened on our balmy shores. In that time, the St Regis Singapore has scored numerous highs including being the residence of choice for the world’s fashion elite as the official venue partner for Audi Fashion Festival and Singapore Fashion Week. It hosted its first live concert featuring Grammy award nominee Jamie Cullum in 2016 as part of the Jazz Legends at St. Regis series. Last year, England’s Prince Harry hosted a private patron’s dinner at St. Regis Singapore’s John Jacob Ballroom to cap the highly anticipated 2017 Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Cup.
But the best is yet to be. Over the next few months, The St. Regis Singapore will be presenting four other unique experiences including stay experiences at the hotel’s plush suites and a mixology showdown at the celebrated Astor Bar. So keep your eyes peeled.
