One of the pioneers in Singapore’s booming poké scene, Aloha Poké now brings a brand-new concept—Singapore’s first Tiki bar.

Aloha Poké was founded in 2015 by two Singaporean couples who discovered a shared love for poké while vacationing in Hawaii together. Given that this was before Singapore discovered poké, it was the perfect time to open Aloha Poké’s flagship outlet along Amoy Street. Fast forward two years, Aloha Poké now has five outlets islandwide and a separate kitchen catering to Deliveroo orders.

Now that the poké scene has evolved and more players like A Poké Theory and Sprout have come onboard, Aloha Poké is taking action to stay ahead of the game with its Tiki Bar. Come 5.30pm every Monday through Saturday, this poké bowl chain transforms its flagship outlet into a tiki bar—perfect for winding down after work.

In keeping with its new Tiki concept, Aloha Poké serves up some delicious Tiki treats. Expect classic Hawaiian-styled dishes, great for sharing, like succulent roasted pork belly with a side of juicy charred pineapple cubes ($12); and lomi lomi salmon served with creamy avocado and a flavourful onsen egg ($12).

Bigger parties can take their pick from the Aloha Poké Luau, a traditional Hawaiian feast. The Luau comprises Hawaiian classics the likes of chicken short rice ($22), loco moco ($24) and kahlua pig burrito ($18).

Predictably, Aloha Poké offers a selection of cocktails inspired by Hawaii. Try the best-selling Fiery Passion ($18), a rum-based cocktail with hints of lime, lemongrass and vanilla. Served with a flaming passionfruit, it certainly lives up to its name!

Inspired by the world’s largest active volcano of the same name, Mauna Loa ($18) is another must-try cocktail. This gin and aperol-based cocktail is even infused with bacon wood-chip smoke to simulate the smell of an actual volcano.
