Launched just last December, the Yamazaki Mizunara 2017 is a limited release 18-year-old whisky aged only in Japanese oak, aka mizunara. Said to have a dreamy and lingering finish, this Japanese dram carries scents of aloe wood and incense.
Only 5,000 bottles are available globally, this exclusive bottle would make a great addition to any whisky connoisseur’s collection.

Known as innovators in the field, this renowned single malt Scotch whisky brand shakes things up with the release of their Experimental Series. Recently introduced to the Asia Pacific region, the series comprises of two bottles—IPA Experiment and Project XX.
The IPA Experiment ($81) is the first whisky to be finished in India Pale Ale (IPA) beer casks. While Project XX ($90), which is pronounced ’20’, is the creation of 20 different whisky experts. Possibly for the more adventurous whisky drinkers, but definitely worth a try.

Based out of the Orkney Islands in Scotland, this malt whisky distillery has a long history in whisky. Historically linked to vikings, the brand releases the first of its Viking Legend series, titled Valkyrie.
Apart from an intricately designed bottle, this special edition whisky has flavours of apples, vanilla and liquorice. An interesting option for the whisky hoarders.
