This lovely Italian restaurant goes Singaporean with three exclusive menus—weekday set lunch ($52), daily set dinner ($148) and National Day semi-buffet dinner ($280)—in honour of Singapore’s 52nd birthday. The set lunch is available from now till 9 August while the set dinner is valid till 8 August. Expect creative dishes with both Italian and Singaporean flavours like grilled chicken satay with chicken rice risotto, balsamic soy sauce and peanut sauce; and salted egg white chocolate sformato (Italian savoury soufflé) with mascarpone cream, salted egg lava and vanilla gelato.
The semi-buffet dinner, available only on 9 August, offers a spread of similarly inspired appetisers and desserts with three mains to choose from—Italian seabass ‘Acqua Pazza’ (seabass poached with lightly herbed sauce); bak kut teh using braised Miyazaki wagyu short ribs; and Ratte potato gratin with black truffle.

Monti will be rolling out a National Day set menu showcasing locally-inspired Italian dishes as well as zesty handcrafted cocktails. Select from a five- (from $120) or six-course (from $150) dinner featuring dishes like chilli crab agnolotti with spicy chilli crab sauce, curry leaf and Sawakani (Japanese fresh water crab); and pumpkin tortellini with taleggio fondue, parmesan crisp, walnut and black truffle. Sip on the specially created Kampong Boy cocktail comprising lemongrass, kaffir lime leaf, passionfruit, grapefruit, rum, triple sec and tequila, while enjoying the fireworks display from Monti’s rooftop.

It’s festivities galore for the family at 1-Altitude Gallery and Bar from 5pm on National Day. Toast a specially created whisky-based cocktail, aptly named Red Dot 52—comprising spiced orange syrup, vanilla liquor, apricot jam, fresh lemon juice and egg white—while the young ‘uns shake up their Vanda Miss Joaquim—a non-alcoholic drink made with a soda water base, red dragon fruit, mint leaves, mint syrup, fresh lemon and passionfruit juice—at the do-it-yourself booth.
Dutch DJ Lindo Martinez will work the decks as you nosh on bar bites such as American buffalo wings and Margherita pizza while enjoying the fireworks from the world’s highest alfresco bar. The party continues after the parade with resident live band 1 Avenue and DJs X-Treme and Leonard T. Perched 33 floors above ground and boasting an impressive view of the bay, LeVel33 promises a bird’s eye view of the NDP fireworks. In honour of National Day, executive chef Jimi Tegerdine reinterprets several Singaporean classics to create the Singapore Platter ($50). Perfect for two to share, expect the likes of pan-seared coconut brioche with pandan jam, chicken rice arancini with pickled chilli mayo and beef hazelnut satay with soy. In keeping with the National Day spirit, indulge in LeVel33’s Singapore Sling ($25) or some champagne, while watching the fireworks display.

For one day only, Zafferano’s head chef Marco Guccio presents a specially crafted four-course dinner menu (from $128) comprising Hokkaido scallop tartare served with pomegranate jelly, fresh sea urchin and green peas; and homemade pumpkin and potato gnocchi with Rougie duck ragout in port wine sauce and topped with grated winter black truffle.
