Resembling a 1960’s New York back alley club, LuLu’s Lounge plays on the character of a fictional owner LuLu, whose imagined Bronx upbringing informs the design accents—flickering neon signage, lipstick stained napkins and outlandish paintings.
Drinks-wise, LuLu offers up playful twists on classic cocktails. Described as a pina colada with a lot more sass, Big Coconuts ($24) comes with Reyka vodka, kaffir lime syrup and coconut cream. A Little Dirty, A Little Cheesy ($26) is a classic American dry, dirty martini made with Death’s Door vodka and served with blue cheese stuffed olives.
For a pause in your revelling, head out to the garden patio, where the dim-lit fairy lights and vintage-modern furnishings provides a relaxing hideaway to wind down.
