On the look out for restaurant promotions? We’ve picked out a few for the month of June.

1. Menya Musashi for your ramen fix

Chawanmushi ramen takes a creative twist on the two popular japanese dishes - restaurant promotions

Menya Musashi’s savoury chawanmushi ramen

This June, enjoy your favourite ramen with a twist at Menya Musashi. The restaurant, which is known for its delicious, creative twists to traditional ramen in its hometown of Tokyo, is partnering with popular Japanese brand ITO EN to bring you slurpworthy matcha latte ramen.

Matcha latte ramen

Available in both soup and dry versions ($15.90 for a la carte and $18.90 for set) from now till end of June, the dish features matcha in the springy ramen noodles, in the milky savoury pork bone broth studded with briny baby clams and showered with chopped spring onions, and some delectable and moreish matcha-laced cream on the side. We highly recommend the dry version, where you can tip the cream over the noodles, give it a good stir, and slurp up the bitter-sweet cream-coated ramen. This is pleasantly similar to a cream-based pasta dish. According to head chef Tsutomu Koga, the cream is a rift on the popular kombu matcha pairing, bolstered with whipping cream.

Another inspired creation at Menya Musashi is the chawanmushi ramen ($14.90)—ramen noodles steamed in a savoury egg custard and dotted with pork and crabstick. Oishii!
