For food, drink and lots of fun, check out the inaugural Lo & Behold Group Festival which kicks off in June!

For the school-holiday month of June, indulge the child in you with the inaugural The Lo & Behold Group (TLBG) festival of fiestas, fun and feasting

TLBG first festival in June

Look forward to seven events held in various The Lo & Behold Group venues. First up on 2 June, get ready for a pizza face-off at Extra Virgin Pizza between two great local chefs: Ming Tan, F&B Director, Grain, and Bjorn Shen, chef-owner, Artichoke and Bird Bird. Get to sample their original creations and vote for the winner.

If gin’s your favourite drink, mark your diary for 8 June’s Drink Your Greens, Gin workshop with Gin Mare. You’d  learn how to use Spanish gin Gin Mare—made with Arbequina Olives, thyme, rosemary and basil—to make delicious, botanically-inspired cocktails. There are only 20 places available at $98 each, inclusive of a homemade G&T cocktail kit.

On 10 June, get set to relive the glamour of Hollywood’s golden age of the 1920’s and 30’s, at The Electro Ball, held fittingly at The Black Swan, located at The Quadrant on Cecil Street. Held over three floors at the heritage building, it promises to be cinematic extravaganza with live performances ranging from live electric swing to ragtime jazz and silver screen drag queens.

Lights! Camera! Action!

Come 17 to 18 June weekend, camp out at Tanjong Beach Club for the decadent Saturday brunch featuring a live carving station, oyster bar and other coastal classics ($98++ per person, additional $25++ for endless tipples), and party the night away with DJ Elli Arakawa on Sunday afternoon, as she spins deep house and disco.

Slow down the pace a little with some tea appreciation at the Vitali-tea, Tea Workshop with A.muse Projects, a local specialty tea company offering handcrafted tea blends. To be held in an intimate setting at Looksee Looksee reading room and tea salon (only 10 places available at $65 per person), the class will showcase a range of rejuvenating teas and tisanes. And if school days are the best time of your life, head to Overeasy Orchard for their Riverdale Special costume party themed on the high school TV series Riverdale. ‘Jio’ your friends down for a class reunion, togged out in your best back-to-school outfits as you dance to the beat of DJs KiDG and Hookstyle.
