Already in its 21st year, the World Gourmet Summit (WGS) raises a record $1.1 million for the NKF Charity Gala Dinner 2017.

On 6 April 2017, over 460 guests came together for WGS’s annual NKF Charity Gala Dinner at Swissôtel The Stamford, to raise funds and awareness for kidney disease. In attendance as guest-of-honour was Minister of Health, Mr Gan Kim Yong.

Guests were treated to a stellar line-up of dishes by some of Singapore’s top culinary stars, amongst whom were the likes of chef Kirk Westaway of JAAN restaurant, Singapore’s National Culinary Team—who were the overall champions of last year’s IKA Culinary Olympics—and Robert Stirrup, director of culinary operations at Swissôtel The Stamford.

Together, guests contributed to the cause through table sales, cash donations and auctions which were held during the dinner.
