New restaurants at The Oval @ SAP, touted as Singapore’s next foodie enclave, are making it worth the trek to this part of the island.
We just can’t get enough of The Summerhouse, the charming F&B concept in Seletar Aerospace Park (SAP) by 1-Group.
Housed in a sprawling conservation bungalow, there’s Wildseed, a café by day and bar by night; and The Summerhouse dining room, a farm-to-table restaurant helmed by chef Florian Ridder, and even a flowershop that’s decked out in whimsical blooms you’d want to take home.
It’s not the only draw at Seletar Aerospace Park. Wheeler’s Estate—run by the same folks behind Wheeler’s Yard in Balestier— comprises a modern Aussie restaurant, a café with decent brunch options and a bar. There’s also Di Wei Teochew Restaurant and Youngs Restaurant and Bar, a contemporary European restaurant.
But the best part has to be the laidback vibes and lush green setting, which make it a perfect weekend hideout. We hear it gets super busy then, so be sure to make your reservos early.
