The occasion: On 10 September, Irish food board Bord Bia launched their Southeast Asian regional office in Singapore with a celebratory brunch.

Hosted by Mr. Michael Creed, Ireland’s Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, and held at the residence of the Ambassador of Ireland to Singapore, His Excellency Geoffrey Keating, the invitation-only event showcased the very best of Irish food. The guests—which included chefs, restauranteurs, food specialists and the local media—were given a taste of the wide range of Irish flavours available in Singapore.

Bord Bia also provided Irish produce like cheese, smoked salmon and chocolate.

The sips: To go with the meal, guests were served Guinness, Teelings whisky, Jameson whisky, Ochagavia 1851 Reserva Sauvignon Blanc 2014, and Heritage Vale Cabernet Sauvignon 2011.
