The exciting Epicurean Market returns for the second year at Marina Bay Sands – meet Tetsuya Wakuda and other celebrity chefs!

Foodies, mark your calendar. Epicurean Market returns for the second year at Marina Bay Sands. The three-day fiesta will be held between 12 and 14 September—a week before Formula One—and will once again present gourmet food, fine wines and celebrity chefs, plus new zones including a cocktail bar with top mixologists.

Celebrity chefs such as Justin Quek of Sky on 57, Nancy Silverton of Osteria Mozza and Tetsuya Wakuda of Waku Ghin will be on hand to share their insights at masterclasses and workshops. Visitors will also get the chance to meet two new faces who are set to join Marina Bay Sands’ line-up of top restaurants: David Thompson of the award-winning Nahm in Bangkok will present Thai cuisine, before the launch of Long Chim at The Shoppes, while David Myers of Sona in Los Angeles will talk about his new restaurant, which opens in 2015 and will combine the best flavours of Asia and California.

Chefs Jonathan Kinsella of db Bistro Moderne and David Almany of Osteria Mozza will also demonstrate their culinary prowess with a one hour mystery box cook-off. Christopher Christie, who was named Chef of the Year at the 18th World Gourmet Series Award of Excellence, will also lead a sustainability-themed workshop. Tipple lovers will to learn how to concoct aperitif-style drinks using Italian and French aromatised fine wines with mixologist Lucas Swallows, or how to set up a home bar with head bartenders Joe Alessandroni and Zdenek Kastanek from Proof & Company Spirits.

The Epicurean Market will also see Benjamin Siwek, executive pastry chef from db Bistro Moderne, hold a Junior Pastry Academy session for up to 25 children. You can also drop your little ones off at a specially-created zone by Fidgets City where they will be engaged with various craft workshops.

Epicurean Market will be held at Sands Expo and Convention Centre, from 12-14 September.

Tickets go for $23 for a three-day pass (including a pair of wine glasses), available at MBS box offices, online at www.marinabaysands.com/epicurean-market or Sistic.
